Seline Baumgartner

From the beginning of February, Seline Baumgartner is an artist –in- residence programme in Wyspa Institute of Art. Thanks to swiss arts council ProHelvetia, Baumgartner is taking a part in WyspaAIRport programme. During 3 months residence, Seline is working on an art project, which will be shown in the middle of April in Wyspa Institute of Art. “In my videowork I explore the varied possibilities of subjective perception. – explains Baumgartner - I do not use the camera to capture visual aesthetics, but more to uncover image sequences as a basis for concepts. The camera replaces the eye of the viewer by exploring diverse situations of subjective perception.” Project realized in Gdańsk will be focused on the block of flats built from “wielka płyta”, will be about its social and architectural aspects.
